This Built Environment Observatory series focused on major changes in urban policies that were made or enacted over the past year in Egypt, and are set to impact millions of residents. The series analyses the development of implementing amendments to the Real Estate Registration, Construction Violations Reconciliation, and Expropriation laws. It also assessed the New Zoning and Building Regulations, the enactment of a Construction Freeze, and issuing of so-called Betterment Levies.
